Game of Thrones returns in April 2019
'Game of Thrones' will return for its final season in April 2019.
The hugely popular HBO fantasy drama which is based on the 'A Song of Ice and Fire' novel series by George R.R. Martin is set to air its eighth and final season next year. And although fans have known for some time that 2019 would mark the end of the show, it has now been revealed that the season will begin airing in April.
HBO announced the premiere month which didn't include an exact date during a 30 second teaser clip which was posted to the official 'Game of Thrones' Twitter account on Tuesday.
The clip featured action-filled shots of various stars of the show, including Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), and Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage).
Gerard Butler assists wildfire victims
Gerard Butler has taken in victims of the wildfires in California.
The 48-year-old star's Malibu home was damaged in the blaze, but he has revealed his heartbreak for those who are suffering more, while revealing he has been doing what he can to help.
Speaking to Backgrid, he said: "I'm OK. I just came from my property, and it could've been worse."
"People have lost everything, and we have some of them staying at our house right now. It's just really sad, you know, because people give their lives to get to a place like this. I've lost a lot of belongings, but I haven't lost everything."
The '300' actor has taken to social media to encourage people to give what they can to help those in need, and described himself as "one of the lucky ones".

Rob Kardashian wants to lower his childcare payments to Blac Chyna.
According to court documents, the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star - who pays $20,000 per month to his former partner for their two-year-old daughter Dream Renee has requested that his payment is lowered as he "can no longer afford these orders".
He has also asked for payments to be made to him instead as Chyna is a millionaire now, stating that she is a "model and entrepreneur" and that "she has appeared in the press and on social media to discuss both cases at every opportunity", The Blast reports.
Rob also spoke about his desire to stay away from the spotlight by shunning his family's E! reality show.
