Welder allegedly strangled by girlfriend
Independence Day will never be the same for Tony Tyndale whose son Tyshane Tyndale, was allegedly strangled by his girlfriend at his home in Fine Grass, Manchester.
According to reports from the Corporate Communications Unit, Tyshane, who is a welder, had an altercation with his female companion early Tuesday morning.
It is alleged that the female used an electrical cord to strangle the 20-year-old.
The report further stated that he lost consciousness and fell to the floor. The police were summoned and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Tony said: "The Monday night the girlfriend hear him a talk to his babymother about school for his child and they got in an argument after. In the morning, her (the girlfriend's) child came and knocked at my door and said that her mother and Tyshane were in an argument. I went to ask what was going on and he said that it was okay so I went back to my room and watched a video till mi doze off."
He said that hours later, his sister woke him and said police were there to see him.
Normal procedure questions
"I went out there and saw the girl in the back seat (of the police car). He (the cop) started to ask me if I was Tyshane father, you know normal procedure questions. So me ask where is Tyshane? Because me a think they fight and she went to the station to report it. He said your son is in the room lifeless," he said.
The 63-year-old said he tried to see his son but the police barred him because the room was a crime scene.
He said that when he was finally told to come and identify Tyshane, seeing his son's body on the floor weakened him.
He told THE WEEKEND STAR that the family has been rocked by the sudden death.
"His sisters and brothers are stressed out about it. His little sister who is mute, her mother died in 2014. And now she is faced with the death of her brother; she bawl like a baby," he cried. "Right now I feel like a fish out of water. Mi feel like a golf ball stop a me throat. Me feel like me lose bout 15 to 20 pounds between then and now. It very rough, it rough."
Deputy Superintendent of Police for Area Three, Christopher Brown, said: "We are investigating a case of homicide and the investigations are advanced at this particular juncture and we will await the outcome. We have some information that we are working with; we have physical evidence regarding this particular matter that we are dealing with. These things require forensic information. We have been actively engaging persons who are potential witnesses and it is a combination of these factors that will help us to determine better what we are doing."
He said that the girlfriend was being interviewed.
